One World Trade Center & the Legacy of Ground Zero

One World Trade Center
Standing at 1,776 feet—symbolically representing the year of American independence—One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Its shimmering glass façade reflects the sky and the city around it, while its angled design gives the structure a strong, uplifting presence.
Visitors can ride to the One World Observatory, located high near the top of the tower, where floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views of the harbor, lower Manhattan, and even into New Jersey and Brooklyn. It’s both an incredible attraction and a moment of reflection for many visitors.
The 9/11 Memorial
Next to the tower stand two massive reflecting pools set into the footprints of the former North and South Towers. Water cascades downward along black stone walls inscribed with the names of the nearly 3,000 lives lost. The sound of the water contrasts with the surrounding city noise, creating a peaceful, reflective atmosphere.
The 9/11 Museum
Located beneath the plaza, the museum explores the events of that day through archival footage, preserved structural elements, personal stories, artifacts, and recorded messages. It is emotional, educational, and deeply respectful, helping visitors understand not only what happened, but how the event changed New York and the world.
